About The Role
We are looking for an EGD & Experiential Design Lead to establish, lead and evolve the Environmental Graphic Design and Experiential Design discipline at Space Matrix across India and our global projects.
This is a highly creative and strategic leadership role. The person will shape how brands, cultures and stories are translated into the physical workplace, from the first insight and concept through design development, documentation and execution.
You will work at the intersection of brand, workplace, architecture, interiors, storytelling, art, technology and human experience. Transform insight into identity, ideas into experiences, and strategy into lasting impressions.
What Makes The Role Successful
- Lead the EGD Vision — Own the EGD and experiential design vision across India and global projects; establish design principles, standards and quality benchmarks; integrate EGD into workplace design from the early stages.
- Conceptualise & Create — Develop EGD concepts, creative narratives, visual languages and experience journeys; translate client insights, business objectives, culture and brand values into spatial experiences.
- Lead Multiple Projects — Provide creative direction across multiple projects; review concepts, design development, artwork and final deliverables; ensure consistency between original concept and built experience.
- Integrate EGD with Workplace Design — Collaborate with Workplace Strategy, Architecture, Interior Design, Design, Brand, Technology and Project Delivery teams; identify EGD opportunities within plans and spatial journeys.
- Client & Storytelling Leadership — Lead client workshops and presentations; translate complex requirements into compelling narratives; act as a creative advisor on brand, experience and spatial storytelling.
- Drive Design Excellence — Establish quality benchmarks; encourage experimentation; introduce new materials, technologies, fabrication techniques, art forms and experiential approaches.
- Own Design Through Execution — Oversee design documentation, artwork, specifications and production intent; work with vendors and fabricators; protect creative intent through production and site execution.
- Build the EGD Capability — Build and mentor the EGD team; define capabilities and career pathways; create tools, templates, standards, knowledge systems, materials libraries and specialist partner networks.
- Support Business Development & Pitches — Partner with Client Solutions and Design teams on strategic pitches and RFPs; develop EGD narratives that differentiate Space Matrix proposals.
