Job summary

Axos Bank in the Philippines is seeking a senior QA leader to own the Enterprise Data Warehouse QA practice. You will guide the shift-left, test-driven operating model and ensure high-quality data across SQL Server, SSIS, dbt, Fivetran, Python ingestion and Databricks Lakehouse.

You will mentor QA leads and engineers, drive SLAs, and coordinate with US stakeholders to ensure robust release readiness and continuous improvement across delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software or data quality assurance with leadership experience.
• 4+ years leading QA teams in data engineering or warehousing.
• Hands-on data testing with SQL and Python; review test designs and queries.
• Experience defining quality metrics and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Experience in managed/shared services with cross-border stakeholders.
• Strong people leadership and communication, including executive briefings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EDW QA practice end to end with embedded QA Leads and automation engineers.
• Drive shift-left, test-driven operating model and stage-by-stage QA responsibilities.
• Define service level objectives and monitor metrics like defect escape rate.
• Own data quality CI/CD gates across environments and enforce them.
• Represent QA in governance cadence with US stakeholders and leadership.
• Plan capacity across four delivery teams and manage sprint QA commitments.
• Set test strategy and tooling for data validation, regression, and performance testing.
• Maintain QA knowledge base, onboarding, and upskilling for Databricks readiness.
• Recruit, coach, appraise, and develop QA Leads and engineers; conduct performance reviews.
• Champion AI/LLM tools for test design with validation before production tests.
