Job summary

Private Advertiser in the Philippines is seeking an HTS/ECCN Classification Analyst to support global trade compliance operations. You will classify technology products under U.S. export laws and regulations, and review documentation for accuracy.

This hybrid role in Metro Manila requires strong attention to detail, robust Excel skills, and experience coordinating with vendors on classification data. Expect shifting schedules and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree of any related course.
• Must have at least minimum of 2 years experience in HTS/ECCN classification or global trade compliance.
• Experience working with U.S. clients and familiarity with U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
• Comfortable navigating various customs websites and interpreting tariff schedules.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook, and SAP.
• Willing to work on shifting schedule and hybrid setup (10 RTO days/month).

Responsibilities

• Classify Products: Review hardware/software specs and assign HTS and ECCN codes.
• Review Documentation: Evaluate product specs, customer-provided documents, and database entries to support classification.
• Communicate Directly: Request missing details from vendors or clients, especially for configuration-level SKUs.
• Manage Export Holds: Screen and release export orders in compliance with U.S. regulations and internal SLAs.
• Coordinate with Vendors: Request and review classification data, encryption registration numbers (ERN), and CCATS.
• Maintain Records: Update internal systems and vendor classification lists.
• Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports and track performance metrics using Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Support Projects: Assist with audits, SOP documentation, and process improvements.
