Dyeing/Lab Technician

Role & responsibilities

Dyeing Process Execution

• Operate and monitor dyeing machines, ensuring accurate process control
• Adjust dyeing parameters such as temperature, time and chemical dosage for optimal results
• Conduct lab dip trials and ensure batch-to-batch color consistency

Quality Assurance

• Check fabric or yarn for defects before and after dyeing
• Ensure accurate shade matching with the standard color
• Knowledge of spectrometer

Chemical and Machine

• Prepare and mix dyes, chemicals, and auxiliaries as per standard operating procedures
• Maintain and calibrate dyeing machines and equipment

Process Optimization & Troubleshooting

• Identify and resolve dyeing process issues such as uneven dyeing, shade variation, or fastness issues.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of dyeing recipes, batch production reports, and process parameters
• Coordinate with the Dyeing Planner and production Supervisor regarding work schedules.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/B.Tech in Textile Technology or Chemistry preferred
• 4-5 Years of experience in a dyeing unit, preferably in Zipper, threads and Yarn
• knowledge of different dyeing methods, chemicals, and color matching techniques
