Overview

A Driving Instructor is responsible for teaching individuals how to drive safely and effectively while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. They provide both theoretical and practical training, helping students prepare for driving tests and become confident, responsible drivers.

Responsibilities

• Driving Instruction: Teach students how to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly; Explain traffic laws, road signs, and driving techniques; Provide practical lessons in a vehicle, covering basic to advanced driving skills; Tailor lessons to suit individual student needs and learning styles.
• Student Assessment: Assess students’ driving skills and progress throughout the training; Provide constructive feedback to help students improve; Prepare students for written and practical driving tests.
• Safety and Compliance: Maintain a calm and supportive environment to reduce student anxiety; Stay updated on changes to traffic laws and driving regulations.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the training vehicle is in good working condition and meets safety standards; Perform basic checks (e.g., brakes, lights, and tires) regularly; Report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Administrative Duties: Schedule lessons and manage bookings; Maintain accurate records of student progress; Complete any required documentation for driving school or licensing authorities.
