Job Description
The Driving Instructor is responsible for providing professional, safe, and effective driving lessons to students enrolled in Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) and/or Practical Driving Course (PDC). The instructor ensures that students understand traffic rules, defensive driving techniques, and proper vehicle handling in accordance with LTO standards.
The role requires patience, clear communication, and a strong commitment to road safety while representing the driving school in a professional manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) and/or Practical Driving Course (PDC) sessions
- Teach students basic to advanced driving skills (car, motorcycle, or tricycle depending on qualification)
- Ensure student safety during all driving sessions
- Follow LTO-prescribed curriculum and guidelines
- Evaluate student performance and readiness for licensing
- Maintain cleanliness and proper use of training vehicles
- Report vehicle issues, incidents, or student concerns to management
- Uphold the driving school’s policies, professionalism, and customer service standards
Job Qualifications
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Professional Driver’s License
- At least 5 years actual driving experience
- Has a College or Bachelor’s Degree Diploma
- Clean driving record (no major traffic violations)
- Physically and mentally fit to conduct driving lessons
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Can communicate effectively in Filipino and/or English
- Can teach Manual Transmission (MT) and Automatic Transmission (AT) both for Car and Motorcycle
- Patient, disciplined, and safety-oriented
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends
- Willing to undergo LTO Driving Instructor Accreditation
- Willing to attend LTO-required seminars, assessments, or evaluations
PREFERRED / ADVANTAGE
- TESDA National Certificate I (NC I) – Driving
- TESDA National Certificate II (NC II) – Driving
- Experience teaching TDC and/or PDC is an advantage
- Knowledge of LTO licensing procedures and DL codes
- Can handle multiple vehicle types is an advantage:
- 4 Wheels (Car)
- 2 Wheels (Motorcycle)
- 3 Wheels (Tricycle)
