The Driver Mechanic responsible for operating company vehicles while also performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and minor to major repairs. This role ensures vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulations while supporting efficient transportation and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport personnel, equipment, or goods
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct preventive maintenance (oil changes, brake service, tire replacement, fluid checks)
- Repair or replace defective vehicle parts as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
- Ensure vehicles comply with safety and regulatory standards
- Respond to breakdowns and perform roadside repairs when necessary
- Keep vehicles clean and in good working condition
- Follow company safety policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, Vocational, College graduate or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven experience as a mechanic and/or professional driver
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniquesAbility to use diagnostic tools and mechanical equipmentGood physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects
- Basic record-keeping and reporting skills
- Technical certification in automotive or diesel mechanics
- Experience with fleet vehicles, 10-wheeler, Forward, L300 or heavy equipment
- Familiarity with traffic rules and regulations
- Safe and defensive driving skills
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
- Time management and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work in SAN PEDRO LAGUNA
