Job summary

Deployed Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to lead and assist with projects from concept through to construction documentation. You will prepare detailed plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visuals using ArchiCAD and Twinmotion, ensuring NCC/Australian standards compliance.

Onsite at Ortigas, Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm PHT, you will collaborate with clients and authorities, conduct site visits, review drawings for accuracy, and support junior staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in building design or residential drafting.
• 3–5+ years of architectural design and documentation experience in Australia.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Twinmotion and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of NCC, WA R-Codes, local zoning and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with architectural projects from concept through to completion.

About the Client

An Australian building design and drafting consultancy delivering tailored, high-precision, and sustainable solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Known for turning creative concepts into buildable reality, provides end-to-end services ranging from initial feasibility studies and 3D visualization to detailed technical documentation and council approval management.

What You'll Do

• Design & Technical Drafting: Lead and assist with architectural projects from concept through to completion, creating detailed plans, elevations, sections, and construction documentation.

• 3D Visualization: Produce high-quality 3D renderings using ArchiCAD and Twinmotion for client presentations, council submissions, and marketing materials.

• Regulatory & Code Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), WA R-Codes, local zoning schemes, and Australian Standards (including AS1428.1 for access and mobility).

• Permits & Submissions: Prepare, submit, and track Development Applications (DAs), Planning Permits, and Building Permits with local councils.

• Site Visits & Feasibility: Conduct site inspections to evaluate existing conditions, verify measurements, and carry out feasibility studies to inform design decisions.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities to keep projects moving on schedule and within budget.

• Quality Assurance: Review all drawings for technical accuracy and completeness prior to submission, integrating feedback to prevent errors during construction.

• Studio & Administrative Support: Assist with client inquiries, material research, refining internal CAD/BIM templates, and supporting the onboarding of junior staff.

What We're Looking F"or

• Qualifications & Licensing: Diploma of Building Design or Certificate III in Residential Drafting, along with a valid Construction White Card or similar.

• Industry Experience: 3–5+ years of practical architectural design and documentation experience within Australia.

• Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on proficiency in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Twinmotion, and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Code Expertise: In-depth working knowledge of Australian building codes, planning schemes, R-Codes, and access standards.

• End-to-End Workflow Knowledge: Demonstrated track record of taking projects through site analysis, design development, council approval, and construction documentation.

• Communication & Client Focus: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner and a customer-first approach.
