Job summary

Wei Yuan Construction Management Inc is seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our Manila-based engineering team. This full-time role focuses on turning engineering concepts into precise drawings and documentation that guide construction from concept to completion.

You will create detailed drawings, specifications, and plans using CAD software, ensure compliance with codes, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality results on time.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in drafting, civil engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards, conventions, and building codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
• Strong communication and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines on multiple projects.
• Knowledge of Philippine building codes and regulations is highly desirable.
• Experience in construction management or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans using CAD software.
• Convert engineer sketches and specifications into accurate, dimensioned drawings suitable for construction.
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain consistency with company standards, codes, and regulatory requirements in all drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify design requirements.
• Produce and update plan sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
• Ensure all drawings are properly labelled, scaled, and documented for construction teams.
• Maintain organised filing systems for drawings and technical documentation.
• Assist in preparing tender documents and construction specifications.
• Support quality assurance processes by verifying drawing accuracy and completeness.

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in transforming engineering concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and documentation. As a Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate construction drawings, specifications, and technical plans that guide our construction projects from conception through completion. This role is essential to ensuring that all projects meet regulatory standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
