Job summary

Copperstone Lending in the Philippines is seeking a Public Affairs professional to manage relationships with government authorities, regulators, and external stakeholders, supporting regulatory engagement and policy monitoring.

The role involves analyzing policy developments, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating public affairs initiatives, and representing the company at meetings and events to foster a favorable business environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Working proficiency in English; Filipino/Tagalog preferred. Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent coordination and project management abilities, with the capability to analyse complex policy and regulatory issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Resilient under pressure, highly adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the Philippine government structure and regulatory landscape. Previous experience in government affairs, public affairs, regulatory affairs, or government agencies is preferred.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, banking, digital payments, consumer finance, or technology industry is highly preferred.
• An established network within Philippine government agencies, regulatory bodies, or industry associations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Philippine government agencies, regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other key stakeholders.
• Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities, including BSP, SEC, NPC, and other government agencies as required.
• Monitor, analyse, and interpret government policies, regulatory developments, and industry trends related to fintech, digital finance, consumer finance, payments, and emerging technologies, providing timely insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the company's business and support regulatory compliance, licensing, and communication with relevant government authorities.
• Support the company's policy advocacy and regulatory engagement initiatives to facilitate sustainable business growth in the Philippines.
• Coordinate public affairs initiatives, government engagement activities, and external communications to strengthen the company's reputation and stakeholder relationships.
• Represent the company at meetings with government agencies, industry associations, conferences, forums, and other external events.
• Handle regulatory issues, crisis communications, emergency response, and other ad-hoc public affairs matters when required.
