Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Director, People Partner to shape and execute a forward-looking talent strategy across succession planning, development, engagement, and compensation. This role sits on leadership teams, advising management and implementing HR initiatives aligned with business unit strategies.

The position provides HR leadership across multiple business groups and partners with HR Shared Services to strengthen financial and actuarial bench strength through strategic HR programs

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree in Business or Human Resources.
• Minimum of 8 years broad based and progressive HR Generalist and/or HR Specialist experience in a large, multi-national organization.
• Experience in planning and change management principles, organizational effectiveness and reward concepts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and HR Shared Services to execute on current strategic HR plans.
• Lead initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness within business groups.
• Identify strategic issues and implement HR policies and practices to meet business goals.
