BruntWork is seeking an experienced offsite visibility specialist to lead our digital PR and editorial outreach. You will secure high-quality citations, backlinks, and brand mentions across real publications and AI sources, while owning the full offsite pipeline.

You will map opportunities, refine strategies, and drive multi-client link-building while maintaining rigorous data discipline and live placement tracking. This is a remote, international role with potential for scalable impact.

The company helps clients build authority across both traditional search engines (Google) and modern AI discovery engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity). In this role, you will lead our offsite search visibility strategy. You will secure high-quality citations, backlinks, and brand mentions across real publications, trade bodies, and high-authority AI sources.

This is not a traditional mass-outreach or link-buying role. You will own the entire offsite pipeline, refine our existing methodologies, and directly influence how our offsite department scales.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, flexible schedule within the client’s business hours (UK Time, 40 hours per week, some overlap with UK business hours required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Digital PR & Editorial Outreach: Pitch journalists and editors with original client data, commentary, and unique stories to secure top-tier organic media coverage.
• Direct Publisher Relations: Prospect trade titles, sector blogs, and local news outlets to negotiate and secure authentic editorial contributions.
• AI Citation Strategy: Map, target, and acquire placements on pages explicitly referenced by conversational AI engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity).
• Competitor & Gap Analysis: Audit competitor backlink profiles to identify and pursue viable, high-impact acquisition opportunities.
• NAP & Brand Citation Audits: Locate and resolve outdated or inconsistent business information (addresses, phone numbers, brand names) across the web to strengthen search engine confidence.
• Directory & Profile Management: Build and optimize durable entries across industry bodies, regulators, accreditations, and core review platforms.
• Knowledge Base Management: Maintain a high-integrity, structured outreach database detailing contact histories, acquisition mechanics, and live placement data so future client strategies build on historical work.

Key Requirements:

• Outreach & PR Writing: Craft pitches that editors and journalists actually open and respond to.
• Resilience & Persuasion: High comfort level with rejection and persistent, polite follow-ups without needing direct supervision.
• Quality Vetting: Ability to spot high-authority publishers vs. low-quality link farms or private networks.
• Data-Driven Record Keeping: Rigorous updating of outreach logs, contact histories, placement results, and anchor text records.
• Modern Citation Strategy: Digital PR, backlink gap analysis, entity management, and tracking AI search engine citations (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity).

Scope of What We Are Looking For:

• Exceptional Pitch Writing: Ability to write concise, relevant, and compelling emails that editors actually open and answer.
• Link Quality Evaluation: Strong ability to distinguish authoritative, human-read publications from spam sites and link farms.
• Systematic Persistence: High follow-through rate on second/third touchpoints and a disciplined approach to managing high rejection rates.
• Data Discipline: Detail-oriented habit of logging outreach statuses, responses, and live links in real time.
• Multi-Client Execution: Ability to manage link-building pipelines for multiple clients simultaneously, matching prospects across accounts where appropriate.

What This Role is NOT:

• NO Link Farms or Buying Spree: We do not purchase spammy links, private blog networks (PBNs), or mass packages.
• NO Cold Email Spamming: We prioritize high-relevance, targeted communication over low-quality email volume.
• NO On-Page SEO Responsibilities: Page templates, technical site fixes, and content creation are managed by a separate internal team.
• NO Immediate Management Overhead: You will start as an individual contributor who proves, owns, and refines the core system before hiring and building a team beneath you.

Performance Milestones:

• 3 Months: Active outreach running for all assigned clients with steady link acquisition and clean database tracking.
• 6 Months: Established editorial relationships producing regular placements; initial placements landed across key AI-cited source pages.
• 12 Months: The offsite database functions as a plug-and-play agency asset; processes are documented and ready to support junior hires.
