About the role
The Digital Specialist leads execution across the company's digital marketing function, covering paid advertising across all relevant platforms, eCommerce and content SEO, organic social, email marketing and reporting. This role takes direction from the Strategic Marketing Partner and works closely with the Marketing Specialist to keep digital activity aligned with national campaigns and franchise marketing priorities. Campaign activity includes both always-on and time-bound campaigns across all campaign types. The Digital Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining campaigns correctly against the brief provided, monitoring performance daily, and escalating issues or anomalies rather than making unguided judgement calls outside the brief.
Key responsibilities
- Build, launch, and manage paid ad campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn
- Monitor budget pacing and performance daily, flagging and escalating anomalies promptly
- Manage ongoing eCommerce SEO, including on-page optimisation and technical hygiene
- Collaborate with the Marketing Specialist to identify blog and content keywords
- Optimise blog and website content against keyword research
- Liaise with the digital team to support eCommerce conversion rate optimisation
- Schedule and publish organic social media content developed by the Marketing Specialist
- Respond to Google reviews in line with brand tone of voice guidelines
- Build email campaigns in Dot Digital, working collaboratively to develop and refine workflows
- Maintain GA4 and Google Tag Manager tracking and conversion setup
About you
- Minimum 3 years' experience in digital marketing, ideally within an agency environment
- Demonstrated experience running paid campaigns in Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Working knowledge of eCommerce SEO and CRO principles
- Reads performance data accurately and escalates uncertainty rather than acting on assumption
- Able to work independently against a brief without close supervision of day-to-day execution
- Strong written and spoken English skills, and proactive communication style
- Collaborative team player, comfortable managing multiple concurrent tasks and shifting priorities
- Exposure to leveraging (not deferring) to AI for efficiency and effectiveness
- Relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
- Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint certification highly regarded
