Job summary

OpsWerks, a technical consulting company, is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to scale and secure our Kubernetes-based production platform in Mandaluyong.

You will work closely with Engineering and Operations to operate production workloads, improve automation, strengthen security practices, and enhance CI/CD pipelines, owning systems end-to-end and delivering reliable, scalable environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering.
• Hands-on Kubernetes production workloads experience.
• Experience with Amazon EKS and Helm deployments.
• Containerization with Docker; scripting in Bash or Python.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and participate in on-call rotation.
• Familiarity with IaC using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production workloads on Kubernetes (on‑prem and EKS).
• Deploy, upgrade, and manage applications with Helm or similar tools.
• Troubleshoot cluster and workload issues (networking, storage, scaling).
• Impose Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, namespaces).
• Optimize resource utilization and autoscaling configurations.
• Support AWS infrastructure components (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, networking).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Participate in design reviews and capacity planning.
• Maintain high availability and respond to incidents with RCAs.
