About the job DevOps Engineer - Database Administrator

The DevOps Engineer plays a key role in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the integration, deployment, and operation of software systems. This role requires close collaboration with system administrators and stakeholders to enhance efficiency and security while automating processes, monitoring performance, and ensuring the reliability of application development and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

Continuous Integration and Deployment

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Work with development teams to ensure software is built for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization

• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure application and infrastructure availability, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues to ensure optimal application response times.
• Assist in capacity planning to accommodate evolving demands.

Automation and Tooling

• Create scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Assess and recommend appropriate DevOps tools and technologies.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Infrastructure Management (in collaboration with the L2 Infrastructure Team)

• Configure and manage cloud-based infrastructure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for simplified management and scalability.

Security and Compliance (in collaboration with the Tech Security Team)

• Support the implementation of security measures to protect infrastructure and applications.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and practices.
