Job summary

Q2 HR Solutions in the Philippines is seeking a DevOps Engineer to set up and manage development tools, cloud infrastructure, and server environments. The role focuses on ensuring reliable systems and smooth production operations across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities include deploying pipelines, monitoring uptime, applying security best practices, and documenting procedures. The position involves collaboration with developers and IT teams to optimize cost, performance, and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, server administration, DevOps support, or related role.
• Experience managing DigitalOcean and Linux servers, DNS and domain configurations, and SSL certificates.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud infrastructure and Linux servers, primarily through DigitalOcean, with Azure/AWS support as needed.
• Manage DNS, domain records, SSL certificates, renewals, subdomains, redirects, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Set up and maintain deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines using Git; coordinate releases with web devs.
• Monitor uptime, logs, resources, backups, alerts; troubleshoot server and application issues.
• Apply security best practices: access control, credentials/secrets handling, patching, vulnerability mitigation, backup/recovery.
• Maintain documentation on servers, access handovers, domains, SSL renewals, and production troubleshooting.
• Review usage to improve cost efficiency, performance, reliability, and production/event support.
