Job summary

Eastvantage Careers is seeking a DevOps Engineer with advanced AWS experience in the Philippines. The role involves building and managing environments on AWS, developing automation tools, and collaborating with PHP and Python teams.

You will work in a mid-shift (12PM–9PM) setup, with a focus on security, performance, and cost optimization. Candidate should have strong scripting (Python, Bash), Linux admin skills, and AWS services expertise (EC2, RDS, ECS, etc.).

Qualifications

• Professional experience with AWS services listed (EC2, RDS, Elasticache, EFS, Route 53, ELB/ALB, ECS, Redshift).
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps Associate preferred.
• Strong scripting in Python and Bash; Linux administration skills.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools and container orchestration (GitLabCI, Ansible, Terraform, Docker/Compose, Kubernetes).
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a dynamic team of experts practicing Scrum.
• Communicate transparently using Slack and Jira.
• Build and manage dev, test, and production environments on the AWS Cloud.
• Develop internal build/deployment automation tools.
• Collaborate with PHP and Python developers and QA teams during development and testing.
• Recommend DevOps and AWS best practices for security, performance, and cost.

• Experience using consolidated logging and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, Kibana, Graylog, ...)
• Familiar with standard IT security practices such as encryption and certificates
• Skills in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Git
• Amenable working during Mid Shift : 12PM – 9PM and in BGC, Taguig
