Job summary

OPEC in the Philippines is seeking a reliable Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting, ensure accuracy of financial records, and safeguard assets. The role includes posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of bookkeeping experience, proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks, and a keen eye for detail. You will join the FAO team and support external audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping and accounting duties.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word; QuickBooks experience.
• Strong ability to organize and maintain financial records with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Post all financial transactions and safeguard books of accounts.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Record transactions and prepare monthly journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain ledgers.
• Prepare and submit BIR reports (withholding tax, VAT) and inventory reports.
• Assist with FAO in financial schedules for external audits.
• Support external audit during annual field audit.
• Perform other duties assigned by FAO.
