Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Llanera, Spain

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team in Llanera. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support, ensuring smooth operations of end-user devices, applications, and IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting Windows and macOS environments, and delivering excellent customer service to internal users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support for onsite and remote users.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Support Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and collaboration tools.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory / Entra ID.
  • Assist with mobile device management (MDM) for iOS and Android devices.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and escalations through ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams for issue resolution.
  • Perform routine system checks, software patching, and updates.
  • Document technical procedures, knowledge base articles, and support guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, security, and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook, and basic networking.
  • Familiarity with MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Jamf) is an advantage.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills (Spanish and English).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.
