Job summary

Smart Save Solar in Batangas seeks a technical supervisor for solar design to translate customer requirements into technical packages for review, purchasing, and installation. You will conduct accurate surveys, load assessments, and system design to minimize rework and costs.

You must ensure survey records, calculations, drawings, BOMs, and design assumptions are precise, with professional signing handled by qualified personnel.

Qualifications

• Education in electrical engineering or related field preferred, with qualifications for regulated duties.
• At least one year solar design, electrical design, or site assessment experience; junior staff may be developed under supervision.
• Interpret equipment documentation, perform calculations, produce drawings and BOMs.
• Use CAD, spreadsheets, and company-designated design or estimation tools.
• Understand PV fundamentals, inverters, storage, protection, grounding, and compatibility.
• Demonstrate site observation, accurate documentation, technical communication, and escalation skills.
• Attend scheduled site work and follow safety and access requirements.

Responsibilities

Reduce rework and costs caused by incomplete site information, design omissions, or equipment incompatibility. Be accountable for the accuracy of survey records, calculations, drawings, BOMs, design assumptions, and versions prepared. The Technical Supervisor owns review and technical release; documents requiring professional signing must be handled by appropriately qualified and authorized personnel.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education in electrical engineering, electronics, energy, or a related field preferred, with appropriate qualifications for regulated duties.
• Preferably at least one year of solar design, electrical design, or site assessment experience. Junior staff may be developed under defined supervision.
• Ability to interpret equipment documentation, prepare calculations, produce technical drawings, and compile BOMs.
• Use CAD, spreadsheets, and company-designated design or estimation tools.
