You will perform chairside assistance, patient preparation, X-ray procedures, sterilization, and lab coordination, while supporting front desk tasks and record-keeping in a fast-paced clinic.
We are seeking for a Part-Time Dental Support Aide to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This role is essential in providing administrative and clinical support to ensure smooth operations within our dental facility. As a Dental Support Aide, you will be a vital part of our healthcare team, assisting both dental professionals and patients whilst maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism. Your contributions will directly impact patient satisfaction and the efficiency of our dental services.
Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including prophylaxis, fillings, root canals, oral surgeries, etc.
Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and provide post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist.
Sterilization & Infection Control: Strictly follow DOH and clinic protocols for sterilizing instruments, disinfecting treatment rooms, and disposing of hazardous waste.
Radiography: Take dental X-rays (periapical, etc.) as required.
Lab Work: Pour and trim diagnostic casts/models and coordinate with external dental laboratories for prosthetics.
Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies and notify the Clinic Manager when stocks are low to ensure uninterrupted service.
Administrative Support: Assist the front desk with scheduling appointments, updating patient records (Electronic Medical Records), and processing payments when necessary only.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry
Knowledge of dental terminology and basic dental procedures
Understanding of infection control protocols and health and safety regulations
Proficiency in using dental practice management software
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Professional demeanour and reliability with a commitment to confidentiality
Preferred experience: Prior experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting
