We are looking for a Demand Planner who will be responsible for ensuring optimal stock levels of SKUs to meet customer demand. This role plays a critical part in inventory planning, purchasing, and stock availability while maintaining service level targets and reducing aging inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handles the ordering parameters and maintains an updated master file based on the per category.
- Maintains and delivers per the agreed timeline per vendor.
- Maintains the store service level of top SKUs for at least 97%.
- Proper forecasting of the SKUs according to season.
- Coordinates and aligns with the Category Managers/Buyers for the promotions and activations.
- Monitors aging and zero offtake from stores.
- Closely coordinates the move out plan of the aging inventories.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, material planning, buying, or purchasing.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Forecasting: Develop weekly, monthly, and annual demand forecasts using statistical models and historical data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, and finance teams to gather insights and refine forecasts.
- Inventory Planning: Provide input to supply planning teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce stock-outs or excess.
- Performance Monitoring: Track forecast accuracy and adjust models to improve reliability.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts on demand.
