Duties and Responsibilities

• Loading and Unloading: Manually loading, securing, and unloading products, furniture, or equipment from the delivery vehicle, often handling heavy items.
• Customer Service: Greeting customers, delivering items to designated areas (including inside homes), and acting in a courteous, professional manner.
• Navigation and Routing: Assisting the driver with directions, using GPS software, and helping with backing maneuvers.
• Documentation: Verifying delivery items against invoices, ensuring order accuracy, and obtaining customer signatures and payments.
• Vehicle Maintenance and Safety: Ensuring the vehicle remains clean and organized, conducting pre-trip inspections, and adhering to all safety policies and road regulations.
• Site Preparation: Setting up ramps, using safety gear (PPE), and preparing the delivery area to prevent damage, such as placing carpets over window frames during installations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (often 50–100 lbs), stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
