Job summary

POSITION TITLE: Capital Markets Ops Sr Analyst

WORK SETUP: Return to Office

OVERALL PURPOSE:

Assist with tax reporting and cost basis functions to ensure compliance with all federal and state tax regulations. Work with various teams within the organization, external vendor partners, and regulatory bodies to provide the highest level of service in support of the client relationship.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. 1. Ensure compliance with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state regulations related to brokerage tax reporting and documentation.


2. 2. Assist with all retail brokerage tax form production processes and requirements (e.g. form 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT).


3. 3. Process various types of federal and state tax withholding including deposits, reconciliations, and the filing of periodic returns.


4. 4. Review and resolve cost basis exception reports on a daily basis.


5. 5. Review various periodic tax-related exception reports to identify and resolve errors to ensure accurate information reporting.


6. 6. Review, maintain, and update departmental policies and procedures.


7. 7. Research and respond to financial advisor and other client facing staff inquiries including processing of necessary corrections.


8. 8. Assist in gathering material and documentation for both internal and external audits.

SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS:
