JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installs, maintains, and administers databases and data stores.
• Conducts routine backups of server data on all platforms.
• Secures company databases by setting and enforcing standards and controls.
• Prepares for database expansion by studying plans and requirements, advising senior technical management, and coordinating design and programming.
• Keeps senior technical management informed by preparing reports on system performance and problems.
• Upgrades hardware and software by assessing transaction processing and database production options.
• Develops and configures tools to enable automation of database administration tasks.
• Identifies and investigates complex problems and issues and recommends corrective actions.
• Performs routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of database and related products.
• Performs analysis and monitors database performance and identifies areas where improvement is needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate with at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
• At least one year of experience as a Database Admin on Windows and Linux platforms and in administering MySQL, POSTGRE, SQL server, Hana.
• Understanding and extensive knowledge of UNIX Operating System is a must.
• Understanding of performance monitoring tools, index, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of SQL architecture, such as objects, schemas, system database, SQL Services.
• Knowledge of SQL Server backup/restore and other maintenance strategies.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve SQL Server performance issues.
• Experience writing SQL statements.
• With good interpersonal skills, well organized, and able to navigate through various areas comfortably.
• With a sense of urgency and can meet required turn-around time.
• Willing to work onsite.
• Can start immediately.
