Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/CE or related field.
• With relevant experience as a Database Administrator or in database/infrastructure administration.
• Strong knowledge of database administration, maintenance, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
• Experience with enterprise-level database infrastructure and production environments.
• Knowledge of database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Familiarity with database security, access controls, and management of privileged/super-user accounts.
• Experience in database backup, recovery, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ability to monitor database health, performance, availability, and security per SLAs.
• Experience coordinating with infrastructure/database vendors for updates, fixes, and support.

Responsibilities

• Installs and administers major, enterprise-level infrastructure components, maintaining uptime, performance and security.
• Monitors and learns industry developments to implement better infrastructure practices and cost-effective replacements.
• Provides technical support to operations, applications management, and risk management teams.
• Communicates with infrastructure vendors for updates, fixes and support requirements.
• Monitors the health and performance of assigned components and reports status to leads.
• Performs routine housekeeping and backups of components.
• Documents configurations and maintains secure records.
• Follows policy controls for configuration management and super-user access.
