Data Scientist Trainer | Data Science Training Assistant

Job brief

We are looking for an experienced Data Science Trainer and Data Scientist Teaching Assistant to join our team for a corporate training project.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop comprehensive training programs covering data manipulation, data visualization, machine learning algorithms, and big data technologies.
2. Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, labs, and assignments.
3. Provide one-on-one coaching and support to address student questions and roadblocks.
4. Assess the learning needs of students from different backgrounds and tailor training content accordingly.

Data Scientist Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

1. Provide support to the lead instructors.
2. Assist in conducting and ideating short activities to make the sessions interactive.
3. Help students in real-time, through one-on-one meetings, chat, and live video conversations.
4. Review coursework by students and provide specific, highly qualitative, and useful feedback.
5. Provide consultations to students for their respective capstone projects.

Requirements:

1. Must have experience in Data Science and Data Analytics for at least 2 years.
2. Previous experience in a data-related occupation (i.e. data analyst/ engineer/data scientist) or a similar role.
3. Background in statistics, machine learning, and data science.
4. Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and experience in this field.
5. Technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
6. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python).
7. Great numerical and analytical skills.
8. Hands-on experience with SQL database design is a plus.
9. Demonstrates a strong passion for education and student development.
10. Must be amenable to work on-site.
