Union Bank seeks a Data Scientist to transform enterprise data into actionable insights, predictive models, and intelligent solutions that enhance growth, efficiency, risk management, and customer experience across the bank.

The role requires collaboration with Data Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Units to deliver data-driven solutions, including fraud detection, forecasting, and customer analytics, while ensuring governance and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data-related field; Master's preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in data science/advanced analytics.
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, ML algorithms, and data mining.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and analytics libraries/frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with large-scale datasets, data warehouses, cloud analytics platforms, and modern data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics models for business growth, ops, customer experience, and risk management.
• Analyze large, diverse datasets from core banking and external sources to inform insights.
• Design, build, validate, deploy, and monitor ML/AI models for business use cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven value and perform hypothesis testing.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Establish model governance including validation, monitoring, explainability, and recalibration.
