Job summary

Okada Manila is seeking a data scientist to support modelling, analysis and reporting needs in a fast-paced gaming environment. You will build and maintain databases, develop dashboards, and work with data science managers to test marketing concepts using advanced analytics.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in data science or machine learning, with strong SQL, Python, SAS or R skills, and the ability to handle large data sets.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: tertiary qualifications in statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, applied science or related discipline.
• Experience requirements: 2–3 years in data science / machine learning; gaming experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Leadership skills: strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities; capable of working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Technical skills: programming with SQL, Python, SAS, R; data mining, visualization, statistics; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint); understanding of marketing concepts such as customer value cycle and segmentation.

II. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Educational Requirement:

• Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, applied science or related discipline

Experience Requirement:

• 2-3 years’ experience in data science / machine learning

• Demonstrated success working with large data sets, developing tools for streamlined analysis and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts
