About the role

The Data Science and Analytics Specialist is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights using statistical analysis, machine learning, and programming to support strategic and operational decision-making. The role involves collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data from various business sources to identify trends, improve processes, optimize performance, and drive business value.

Key responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from process owners.

• Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities through statistical and analytical techniques.

• Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics models to support business objectives.

• Apply machine learning and statistical methods to solve business problems.

• Evaluate model performance and continuously improve analytical solutions.

• Perform forecasting, segmentation, and optimization analyses.

• Develop analytical models, dashboards, and reports while working closely with cross-functional teams to solve business problems through data-driven approaches.

• Ensure data visualizations effectively communicate insights.

• Contribute to data governance, privacy compliance, and data management best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other related IT and quantitative fields.

• Preferably with relevant experience in data science or applied analytics but also open to qualified fresh graduates.

• Proficient in physical and logical database design with basic understanding of relational database concepts.

• Exposure to agriculture and/or food manufacturing processes is a plus.

• Familiarity with the following is an advantage:

  • SDLC methodology

  • Programming: SAP (ABAP, Fiori, PIPO Developer, BW, DataSphere, BODS Developer)

  • Database Systems: MS/SQL, IBM DB/2, Oracle-SQL, SAP/SAP HANA Databases

  • Statistical Modeling: regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis
