Firmable is the market-leading B2B sales intelligence platform in Asia Pacific and is scaling globally. This Data Engineering Lead role owns the trust layer, building quality checks, evaluation harnesses, and automated gates for billions of records across 13 markets.

You will lead 3–5 Applied AI Engineers, setting technical direction while remaining hands-on, shaping enterprise-grade quality across data platforms and LLM-based validators.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production data systems in business-critical environments.
• Worked with billions of rows and designed quality checks at scale.
• Built data quality systems and frameworks: validation engines, anomaly detection, scoring.
• Harness engineering: eval/test harnesses and reliable repos.
• Led engineers: directed a small team while staying hands-on.
• Strong Python and advanced SQL; performance-aware data transforms.
• Operate LLMs as production systems with eval sets, prompts, and traces.
• Shipped work with agentic IDEs (Claude Code/Cursor).
• Sharp judgement on rules vs. LLMs for deterministic vs semantic checks.

Responsibilities

• Quality systems architecture for verification, sampling, and scoring pipelines across markets.
• Build harnesses and SKILL.md specs to accelerate new quality checks.
• Develop eval harnesses for LLM-based validation and prompt versioning.
• Implement release gates with failure analysis and triage tooling.
• Lead incident remediation and automate fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Direct 3–5 Applied AI Engineers, providing technical direction and code reviews.
