Job summary

Scrubbed is seeking a data processing specialist/proofreader to format, proofread, and quality-check tables and generate publish-ready reports for a US CPA firm’s report generation division.

The role requires 1–2 years in related fields, strong MS Word expertise, and a background in financial reporting. You will collaborate with international colleagues and handle additional related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in related field.
• Background on financial reports and financial statements proofing.
• Big 4 accounting firm background or related experience.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, Business, Management, or equivalent.
• Well-versed in publish-quality report generation, proofing, formatting.
• Expert MS Word: mail merge, table creation, headers/footers, page layouts.

Responsibilities

• Ensures reports meet a very high professional standard.
• Examines texts to correct typos, grammar, spelling and presentation defects.

Job description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Processing Specialist or Proof reader to join our expanding team. The Data Processing Specialist will format, proofread, quality control, spell check, footing and cross footing of tables, and generation of publish-ready reports. Will work with a US national CPA firm supporting their report generation division.

Responsibilities

• Assists teams from our client's various divisions including audit, transaction support, consulting, tax, and others in generating professional quality financial statements, management reports, due diligence reports, special procedures reports and various technical and business memos.
• Ensures that reports generated by our client meet a very high level of professional standard.
• Examines texts carefully to find and correct typographical errors and mistakes in grammar, style, spelling, and other general textual and presentation defects.
• Works directly with their foreign counterparts in learning, mastering, and eventually teaching and upholding the level of standards to our local staff.
• Other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

• At least 1 to 2 years experience in related field.
• With background on financial reports and financial statements proofing.
• Big 4 accounting firm background or related experience.
• Advance skills in Microsoft Word.
• Bachelor's degree, in English, Creative Writing, Business, Management, or any equivalent course.
• Well versed in publish quality report generation, proofing, formatting.
• Must possess expert level in MS Word application and all its functionalities - from mail merge, table creation, presentation, headers and footers, sectioning, formatting, design, page layouts, etc.
• Must have an affinity and comfort and ease with details.
• Must be able to thrive in a challenging and ever-evolving work environment, can think on their feet, and will put a client's deliverable front and center.
