Job summary

The Data Privacy Specialist at DLSU will primarily assist the DPO in ensuring and monitoring the university’s compliance with the Philippines’ data privacy laws and regulations, and overseeing that DLSU has an effective Privacy Management Program in place.

The role requires knowledge of privacy laws, risk management, and program management, with at least two years in privacy/compliance; professional certifications are an advantage. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Management, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or related field.
• At least two years of work experience in privacy, compliance, governance, legal, risk management, or related field.
• Knowledge of Data Privacy Laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of Privacy Impact Assessments, Risk Management, and Program Management.
• Professional privacy/risk/information security certifications are an advantage (e.g., CIPM, CIPE, CRA, CISSR, CISM).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
