Private Advertiser is seeking a Data Privacy Officer to ensure compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act and NPC regulations, coordinating with the Vietnam IT Team to align systems with local requirements.
You will lead privacy initiatives, conduct PIAs, monitor privacy across EV charging, apps, CRM, and support platforms, and act as the NPC contact.
The Data Privacy Officer (DPO) is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), National Privacy Commission (NPC) regulations, and internal data governance standards. The role will work closely with the Vietnam IT Team and cross-functional departments to integrate, review, and align company systems, processes, and data management practices with local Philippine legal and regulatory requirements. The DPO will lead data privacy initiatives, oversee document classification and records management, conduct privacy impact assessments, monitor compliance risks, and serve as the primary contact point with the National Privacy Commission.
Ensure company compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), NPC Circulars, and other applicable regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, and controls.
Monitor compliance across all business operations, including EV charging station operations, mobile applications, websites, CRM systems, and customer support platforms.
Conduct regular privacy audits and compliance assessments.
Work closely with the Vietnam IT Team to integrate and localize company systems according to Philippine legal and data privacy requirements.
Review system architecture, data flows, databases, applications, and interfaces to ensure compliance with local regulations.
Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) for new projects, systems, and business processes.
Investigate data privacy incidents and coordinate breach management activities.
Develop and conduct employee privacy awareness training programs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Legal Management, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, Information Security, Risk Management, or related field.
Data Privacy, Information Security, Compliance, or Legal certifications are an advantage.
Experience working with multinational organizations is preferred.
Experience coordinating with regional or overseas IT teams, particularly in system implementation and compliance projects.
Experience in technology, energy, EV charging, telecommunications, fintech, or related industries is an advantage.
