Job summary

IQVIA LLC is seeking a data operations professional to maintain the IMS database within the Phoenix Parallel team. You will set up databases across development, UAT, and production environments while optimizing queries for high throughput and reliability.

You will monitor multiple SQL Server instances, resolve production issues, and coordinate with production teams. Strong SQL basics and pharmaceutical data knowledge are highly valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Basic SQL skills are preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills for large data sets.
• Experience in a mainframe environment is preferred.
• Pharmaceutical industry knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with IQVIA syndicated sales data is a plus.
• Excellent time management and independence.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the IMS database under supervision.
• Participate in database setup for development, UAT, and production.
• Analyze and design database tasks to meet performance standards.
• Optimize queries and stored procedures for throughput and availability.
• Monitor and support multiple SQL Server instances on Windows.
• Resolve production issues and coordinate with production teams.
• Maintain data supplier communications and track data issues.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of IMS sales data updates.
• Identify and resolve data issues through quality control.
• Maintain documentation of Quality Control Procedures.
