You will review source documents, collaborate with coders, and perform quality checks to meet daily productivity targets while safeguarding data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Entry Specialist, preferably in healthcare, medical billing, or coding.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and coding processes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Strong typing skills with speed and accuracy.
• Proficiency in data entry software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information, medical records, and coding details into databases and EHR systems with high accuracy.
• Review source documents to verify data completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with medical coders to clarify missing or inconsistent information.

This role is essential in ensuring that medical records, billing information, and coding documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with organizational and industry standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Enter patient information, medical records, and coding details into databases and electronic health record (EHR) systems with high accuracy.
• Review source documents (such as patient charts, medical coding outputs, billing files, or audit reports) to verify data completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with medical coders to clarify missing or inconsistent information.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive patient health information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Update and correct data as needed to ensure records are up-to-date and error-free.
• Perform quality checks on entered data to support coding accuracy and proper claims submission.
• Generate routine reports and provide administrative support to the coding and billing team.
