Job summary

AIA is seeking a seasoned Data Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and expansion of our analytics data stack. You will oversee ETLs, data warehouses, data lakes, data hubs, and governance, delivering scalable, reliable data solutions that empower business partners.

You will collaborate with architects on cloud transformation, implement data pipelines, and mentor the team to maintain data quality and insights across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience designing and building data warehouses or data lakes.
• Innovative, proactive, creative, well-organized, and able to adapt to various technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal partners and vendors.
• Willingness to learn new environments and tools and stay updated with data science developments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and expand data engineering stacks (ETLs, data stores, warehouses, lakes, hubs) and governance processes.
• Optimize ETL environments, implement data quality and validation.
• Develop data pipelines and APIs for data consumption across tools.
• Support post-production data engineering activities and governance charters.
• Collaborate with architects on cloud transformation and distributed computing initiatives.
• Enable data democratization by making diverse data sources accessible for analytics.
