Job summary

hammerjack is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to turn complex data into reliable, reporting-ready insights for a growing organisation. You will build clean pipelines, shape scalable data models, and support teams in making smarter decisions.

Work setup is hybrid—1x onsite weekly at Alphaland Makati or Nepo Quad Angeles Pampanga—revisit upon regularisation. You will craft data layers, support migrations to Microsoft Fabric, and optimise Power BI reporting across global clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or equivalent
• Proficient in SQL, Power Query, and Python
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouses/Warehouses, and Power BI environments
• Strong ability to transform semi-structured JSON data into relational models
• Knowledge of dimensional modelling (Star/Snowflake) and Medallion architecture
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimise slow pipelines

Responsibilities

• Shape the Architecture: design scalable data models and refine Silver/Gold datasets
• Own Semantic Modelling for end-user reporting
• Build Reliable Pipelines: ETL/ELT across ERP/CRM sources
• Transform Complex Data: parse and flatten nested JSON to structured formats
• Support Migration Projects: migrate legacy SQL to modern cloud platforms
• Tune for Performance: optimise SQL queries and Power Query transformations
• Protect Data Integrity: monitor data quality across pipelines
• Report Development: deliver reporting-ready datasets for business reporting
• Collaborate Across Teams with BI and stakeholders to deliver practical data solutions
