Job summary

C9 Pty is seeking a Microsoft Fabric and Databricks Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions for clients. You will work within an Agile team to build data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and analytics workflows using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SQL, Python, and PySpark.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering or data development roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks in production.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data quality.
• Experience with Spark, SQL, Python, PySpark.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, Jira.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Build, configure, and optimise ETL/ELT data pipelines from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain Fabric Lakehouse and Databricks components (tables, notebooks, workflows).
• Create data transformations using SQL, Python, PySpark, and Spark.
• Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring consistency across environments.
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and implement fixes or enhancements.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and quality checks for reliable datasets.
• Perform unit/integration testing and debugging of pipelines.
• optimise pipelines, queries, notebooks, and Spark jobs for performance and cost.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD, version control, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver features.
