Job summary

Deloitte Southeast Asia is seeking a Data Engineer to help our engineering teams migrate from on‑prem to cloud‑based data platforms. You will design data models, build pipelines, and work with Databricks or Snowflake, dbt, Python, and SQL to enable scalable analytics for our clients.

You will operate in a hybrid setup, collaborating with global teams, driving data quality, and delivering impactful data solutions that empower business decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL is a must-have.
• Experience with dbt and cloud data platforms is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake is required.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas / PySpark) is desirable.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Develop and optimize data models (dimensional modelling).
• Work with data warehouses / lakehouse platforms.
• Ensure data quality and performance tuning.
• Support production workloads and ongoing enhancements.

• Gain experience with dbt and cloud data tools.

As a Data Engineer, you will providehigh level design and technical solutions for the Data Engineering team. You will work on multiple tasks effectively and deliver data model design, analytics-focused data warehousing, and data integration/management leveraging cloud and other technologies to add advanced capabilities and improve application efficiency.
