Job summary

PwC AC Manila is seeking a Data Engineer – Senior Associate to own Databricks-based data solutions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure operational reliability within managed services. You will build client-ready pipelines, advance data architecture, and contribute to data-driven insights across engagements.

You will collaborate with teams to implement Medallion architecture, optimize Spark performance, and mentor junior engineers while upholding PwC’s professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 4–8 years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Proficient in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Databricks-based ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Drive implementation of Medallion architecture and reusable data engineering patterns.
• Optimize Spark workloads and manage performance and cost considerations.
• Integrate Databricks with cloud storage and orchestration tools to support batch and streaming workloads.
• Implement data quality checks, operational monitoring, and reconciliation processes.
• Support production operations, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge assets and best practices.
