Job summary

Solaire Resort is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and architecture for cross-functional applications. You will enable reliable data collection, processing, and delivery across projects while collaborating with data architects and developers.

The role focuses on scalable, secure data solutions, supporting analytics for marketing, campaigns, and operational metrics, with a self-directed, continuous-improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or C++, and SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
• Hands-on with big data and cloud tech including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and AWS (EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift).
• Experience with data orchestration, stream processing, automation, security, and governance.
• Excellent communication and ability to work across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect, integrate, and structure datasets based on business requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Build data transformation processes converting raw data into actionable information.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT for diverse sources into Redshift and other platforms.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation.
• Develop data validation, quality, and monitoring for accuracy and reliability.
• Support analytics by enabling data pipelines for marketing, campaigns, events, and metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate objectives into technical solutions.
• Support scalable, secure data infrastructure across multiple AWS regions.
• Ensure data protection and governance across its lifecycle.
