Job summary

De Castro Consulting in Metro Manila is seeking a Mid Data Engineer to help build the data infrastructure that powers smarter decisions across our group of companies. This on-site role sits with the Information Systems Technology team.

You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrate data from APIs, databases and cloud platforms, and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and data quality. Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience in Data Engineering or a related role.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, data pipelines and data modeling.
• Experience with Azure, Databricks, AWS, Power BI, GitHub or Linux.
• Knowledge of Spark, APIs, data wrangling and data quality.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and other sources.
• Optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
• Work with the data team to deliver clean, reliable, and accessible data.
• Automate data workflows using Python and SQL.
• Troubleshoot data issues and support reporting and data extraction needs.
