Job summary

ConnectOS in Metro Manila is seeking a senior data engineering professional to collaborate with the Data Science Team and an enterprise capability group, driving transformation for students, clients, and the student placement network.

You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based analytics infrastructure, leveraging Python, SQL, AWS, and AI technologies to deliver high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data/software engineering or related roles.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Hands-on AWS experience: Redshift, S3, Lambda.
• Good understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• AI/ML background with LLMs and prompt engineering knowledge.

Responsibilities

Job description

Schedule: Monday to Friday (6:00AM - 3:00PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

In this role, you will be collaborating with the Data Science Team, an enterprise capability team and be responsible for driving transformation efforts towards the right outcomes for students, clients, and student placement network.

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and SQL.
• Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud and data services, including but not limited to Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, and other relevant AWS technologies.
• Strong understanding of microservices-based systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms.
• AI/ML background with working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI technologies.
• Prompt Engineering experience, including the ability to design, refine, and optimize prompts for AI/LLM use cases.
• Ability to evaluate, validate, and improve LLM outputs for business and technical use cases.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with Databricks and PySpark for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Experience building or supporting AI-powered data solutions, machine learning pipelines, or generative AI applications.
• Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment, and AI lifecycle management.
• Experience evaluating and optimizing LLM performance in production environments.

• Partner with analytics, technology, and business stakeholders to design and enhance data models that support business intelligence, reporting, and enterprise decision making.
• Conduct data analysis to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues, ensuring high standards of data quality, integrity, and reliability.
• Maintain and improve cloud-based data and analytics infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, security, and operational resilience.
• Build, deploy, and maintain customer-facing generative AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), agentic AI frameworks, and related technologies.
