Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will develop ETL pipelines, data platforms (warehouses, lakehouses, data lakes), and ensure data quality while collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders. This role emphasizes automation, documentation, and staying current with emerging tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, or other scripting languages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and Microsoft data platforms is an advantage.
• Banking industry experience is a plus.
