Job summary

AWS is seeking a Security Specialist Intern to support physical security of data centers. You will work on day-to-day security operations, partner with vendors, analyze data, and prepare reports for management.

This is a full-time 12-week on-site internship designed as a potential path to full-time employment. Ideal candidates are pursuing a relevant degree and possess strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills, with a willingness to engage across teams and drive security improvements

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Risk Management, Security Management, Criminology or related field, graduating in 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment with solid time management.
• Own vehicle is recommended for access to data centers (public transit may not be available).
• Spanish Security Director TIP would be required for full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors for security construction, repairs, and daily operations.
• Analyze security metrics to identify trends and improvements.
• Suggest enhancements to surveillance systems and access controls.
• Develop guidance for data center occupants to reduce false alarms.
• Write reports and create presentations on security status for management.
• Assist with planning security-related projects and incident documentation.
