Data Center Engineering Officer - SLZ

Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Center Engineering Officer to manage and supervise the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment within our Data Center. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the stability and functionality of facilities across the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in the Data Center.

• Identify risks and conduct IDC vendor operations and maintenance quality assessments.

• Act as a technical professional for all facilities-related issues in the Data Center, escalating to the HQ technical team as necessary.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical equipment failures and report findings.

• Troubleshoot facility and data server-level events within the internal SLA and resolve issues efficiently.

• Create and implement new standard practices for technicians and IDC vendor support teams.

• Provide training and guidance to the operations team on procedures including Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP).

• Ensure all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures are adhered to by vendor and Huawei staff.

• Communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or critical environment, or 5+ years of technical training/experience with relevant data center facilities equipment.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an applicable engineering field, or in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electrical or mechanical license.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Solid leadership and organizational skills.

• Proven self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Based in Singapore with the flexibility to travel to other countries and mainland for support.

Language Requirements:

• Good proficiency in both spoken and written English.
