Job summary

CogniSAP is seeking a Data Architect to design and optimize data models and cloud-based architectures. The role is 100% remote but must be based in Mexico, with a duration through End of Year.

You will build and maintain high-performance data structures and ETL/ELT pipelines, emphasizing governance, security, and cross-functional collaboration. The candidate should have 3–5 years of hands-on data architecture experience, strong SQL skills, and proven AWS experience to drive scalable data

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Data Architecture and Database Design.

Responsibilities

• Design, structure, and maintain data models at various levels (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines across diverse sources.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, structure, and maintain high-performance conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Optimize SQL queries, database structures, and complex relational schemas.
• Build and support modern ETL/ELT pipelines across diverse data sources.
• Drive cloud data platform strategy (AWS preferred) focusing on data processing, storage, and security.
• Implement strong data governance, quality controls, and auditable compliance frameworks.
• Bridge the gap between engineering and business by translating complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Data Architecture and Database Design.
• 100% Bilingual (English / Spanish) — strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Proven track record with cloud-based data platforms (AWS) and ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Deep understanding of Data Governance, security practices, and compliance controls.
• Strong visualization, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
