AIA Philippines is seeking a curious Data Intern to translate ambiguous business questions into data-driven insights and automation. You will work with stakeholders to define analytics goals and help turn data into actionable recommendations.

You will assist in building data pipelines, reports, dashboards and scorecards, ensuring accuracy and clear definitions. This internship offers hands-on exposure to analytics across the organization and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

About the Role

We are looking for a curious, analytical, and proactive Data Intern who is excited about solving real business problems using data. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to translating ambiguous business questions into data-driven insights, building automation and agentic solutions that improve how teams work, and supporting analytics initiatives across the organization.

Business Problem Translation & Insights

• Partner with stakeholders to understand real business challenges and translate them into clear analytical questions

• Perform exploratory and deep-dive data analyses to uncover trends, issues, and opportunities

• Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making

Agentic Solutions & Automation

• Assist in designing and building data-driven automations and agentic solutions to reduce manual effort and improve ease of doing business

• Support use cases such as: Automated reporting and data pipelines Workflow enhancements using scripts, tools, or AI agents Process optimization through data and logic-based solutions

• Continuously look for opportunities where data and automation can simplify processes

Reporting & Dashboards

• Support the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and scorecards

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all outputs

• Help standardize reporting definitions and metrics

Technical Mapping & Documentation

• Create and maintain technical and functional documentation, including: Data source mappings Metric definitions and logic Process flows and integration diagrams

• Document assumptions, methodologies, and limitations of analyses

Data Support & Ad-hoc Analysis

• Assist with ad-hoc analyses and data requests from different teams

• Support data quality checks and validation activities

• Contribute to continuous improvement of data practices and standards
