Job summary

Shopee in the Philippines is seeking a motivated intern to support analytics, data analysis, and AI-assisted workflows across regional initiatives. The role focuses on translating complex business questions into analytical requirements and delivering first-pass insights under senior guidance.

You will work with SQL, Python, and BI tools, contribute to feature prioritisation, and help improve dashboards and AI-enabled tools while documenting assumptions for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/analytical field.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured questions and actionable steps.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or BI tools is a plus but not mandatory.
• Interested in using AI tools to enhance analysis, efficiency, and insight quality.
• Able to explain findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable experimenting in a dynamic environment.
• Full-time internship availability preferred (3-6 months).

• Apply AI-assisted analysis tools (e.g. natural language querying, insight generation, text analysis) to explore data, identify patterns, and generate first-pass insights
• Conduct data analysis to support feature prioritisation and track post-launch performance, with guidance from senior analysts
• Assist in testing, validating, and improving analytical workflows, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools to ensure accuracy and usability
• Document insights, assumptions, and limitations clearly to support decision-making and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative, analytical, or related discipline
• Strong ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured questions and actionable steps
• Comfortable working with data and learning new analytical tools prior experience with SQL, Python, or BI tools is a plus but not mandatory
• Curious about using AI tools to enhance analysis, efficiency, and insight quality
• Able to explain findings clearly and logically to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
